Publication of three scientific papers in world-class journals
In the 2025-2026 academic year, Dr. Pega Saidi, Director of the Consultancy Center at Kurdistan Technical Institute, was able to publish three scientific papers in the most prestigious international journals in the world under the name of the Consultancy Center.
The first study entitled:
EPIDEMIOLOGY AND RISK FACTORS OF SUICIDE IN SULAYMANIYAH, KURDISTAN REGION: A RETROSPECTIVE CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY FROM A MEDICOLEGAL PERSPECTIVE
In the International Journal:
TPM (Testing, Psychometrics, Methodology in Applied Psychology)
Published as scopus and ranked Q2 in Clarivate, this study highlighted the increased causes of suicidal thoughts and commissions among the population of Sulaimani province.
The second study is entitled:
Student suicide risk and counseling in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq
Published in The Lancet with an impact factor of 109.0 and a Q1 ranking, the study highlighted the increased risk of suicide among university students, especially medical students, and called for accelerated support for counseling centers at universities and colleges.
The third study entitled:
The long-term psychological and sleep-related consequences of the Halabja chemical attack: A cross-sectional and cross-generational study over three generations
It was published in the Journal of Affective Disorders with an impact factor of 5.7 and a Q1 ranking, taking a closer look at the long-term psychological injuries and sleep disturbances of three different generations of the Halabja chemical attack
