KTI Counseling Center /Job description

The KTI Counseling Center (KTICC) is committed to providing high-quality psychological and social support services to students, faculty, and staff. Our primary goal is to promote mental well-being and create a supportive environment that fosters personal and academic success. All services are provided free of charge to the KTI community in a professional, ethical, and confidential manner.

The KTICC offers a range of psychological and social counseling services, including but not limited to:

  • Individual counseling sessions
  • Group therapy
  • Crisis intervention
  • Psychoeducational workshops
  • Mental health awareness programs
  • Referral services for specialized care

All students, faculty, and staff members are eligible to use the services of the KTICC. Appointments can be scheduled via the center’s website, by phone, or in person. Emergency cases will be prioritized.

Confidentiality is fundamental to our services. The KTICC adheres to ethical and legal standards to ensure that all client information remains private. Information will only be disclosed under the following circumstances:

  • When there is an immediate risk of harm to the client or others.
  • When required by law (e.g., court orders, mandated reporting of abuse).
  • With the client’s explicit written consent.

All counselors and staff at the KTICC are expected to uphold the highest professional standards. This includes:

  • Treating all clients with respect and dignity.
  • Maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Adhering to ethical guidelines set by psychological and counseling associations.
  • Ensuring a non-discriminatory and inclusive environment.

Clients are also expected to:

  • Respect the time and effort of the counseling staff by attending scheduled sessions or canceling in advance.
  • Engage in the counseling process with openness and honesty.
  • Abide by the KTICC’s policies and guidelines.
